I was working as a creative manager in digital marketing. I had never worked in a school, taught professionally, or studied education. What I did have was a genuine love for children, and a friend who encouraged me to explore an opportunity I had not considered before.

My journey

I applied to three universities. I was invited to two interviews. I received two rejections, then an offer from the University of Reading.
That process taught me that a rejection is not the same thing as the end of the road. It also showed me how much easier it is to move with clarity when you understand the requirements, research well, and prepare properly.
